Wisbech: One Year Old Dies After 2 Car Crash

The Magpas Air Ambulance say the victim of this morning's fatal collision in the village of Friday Bridge, was a baby.

Emergency services were called at 1017am today (Monday 24th September) to a two car collision on the March Road in the village.

Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue, the East of England Ambulance service road and air ambulance units attended the scene, and were later joined by the Magpas Helimedix team - to find three people had been hurt in the incident.

Despite efforts from paramedics on site, a baby who was hurt in the crash, died at the scene.

One man was treated by ambulance crew on the scene, who then took the patient to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn. 

A second, severely injured, man was treated by the side of the road and then flown to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. 

Sadly, despite all the best efforts of the Helimedix (including advanced level care and attempted resuscitation), working alongside Fire & Rescue Crews and the Police, the one-year old child, was pronounced dead at the scene.
