It has been confirmed by police that a firearm was involved in a two-vehicle collision on the A47 in Cambridgeshire.

It happened at around 4am on Saturday 19 November between Guyhirn and Wishbech.

Heart's been told one car left the road and flipped onto its roof.

A man from that vehicle was taken to hospital in Kings Lynn with serious but not life threatening injuries.

The road was closed for a while to allow officers to investigate but was reopened at around 3.40pm on Saturday afternoon.
