3 Year Old's Locks Chopped for Daddy
As Charlotte Ransom turned three her wish was for hairdressers to cut off her hair to donate to other children who'd lost theirs....
It's not the usual birthday wish for most three year old girls but Charlotte Ransom was more than happy to let hairdressers take scissors to her long locks
Charlotte from Stoke in Plymouth lost her father Ellis last month to pancreatic cancer - he was diagnosed in November 2012
Each year on Charlotte's birthday her parents have always picked a charity to donate to, to celebrate her life... and this year, just 1 day after the toddlers third birthday, hairdressers at Dudes Modern Barbers cut off around 10 inches of Charlottes dark brown hair - it was then donated to the Little Princess Trust, which provides wigs for children suffering hair loss
Ellis always enjoyed brushing his daughters long hair and he discussed her first hair cut with his wife Rosanne not long before he passed away...
Speaking to Heart's Karly Wilson wife Rosanne said it's what her husband would have wanted and that he would have been so proud of Charlotte
The family now want to raise awareness of Pancreatic Cancer and are urging people who may be suffering persistent symptoms such as heart burn or indigestion to get it checked out with a doctor
Mum Rosanne is still collecting sponsorship money for Charlotte's hair cut, which will go to the Little Princess Trust and has already raised more than a thousand pounds www.justgiving.com/Rosanne-Ransom
