Silly On Scilly - six of volunteer lifeboat crew from Torbay are planning an SOS mission to travel to the Scilly’s (via all lifeboat stations in Devon and Cornwall) and achieve 6 SOS mini missions, and travel back – all within 24 hours
Sea Our Services – Saturday 29 January - Open day at the RNLI’s Divisional Support Base, in Saltash, starting at 10.30am members of the public are invited to see some of the lifesaving equipment up close, with games and stalls to keep the family entertained.
Shortbread Or Soup - Appledore RNLI lifeboat station will be holding a Shortbread Or Soup morning on Sat 29 January between 10am and 1pm. Stormy Stan will be there as well as homemade shortbread or a cup of heart warming soup.
Stormy Stan will also be holding a bucket collection at Tesco in East the Water on 28 Jan and Asda in Bideford on Sat 29
Save Our Sole
Friday 28 January Salcombe RNLI fundraising branch are hosting an auction at The Fortescue pub in union street, to include an original painting of the Baltic Exchange II by local artist Stephen Thomas. There will be raffles, games and music. Food will be available at a charge.
Sing Our Songs
Saturday 29th January 2011 from 7.00pm The Globe Inn Frogmore with the Gazunda Jazz Band. Make up a dinner party and book your table direct with the Globe with a collection and raffle for the RNLI SOS Day

Free entry to the Tavy Tap in Plymouth for pints, pasties and shanties, with a raffle and bottomless collecting buckets on Friday 28 January 2011

Dart RNLI have a number of SOS events taking place during the week running up to SOS Day, including a host of School assemblies, and;
Solve Our Solutions Tuesday 25 January Quiz Night at Dartmouth Arms 7.30pm.
Scatter Our Skittles
Thursday 27 January at Dartmouth Yacht Club 7.30pm. Teams from Fire, Police BRNC, RNLI Crew and Fundraisers. Tickets £5 which includes a Ploughmans.
Sell Our Steaks
Friday 28 and Saturday 29 Jan at Ship in Dock Inn. Steak meal for two including all the trimmings and wine is £25 or single steak is £10.95. For each steak purchased £5 to the RNLI. Early booking recommended.
Stuff Our Shopping bags volunteers will be helping shoppers to pack their shopping bags at Sainsburys in Dart from 10-12pm and 2-4pm on SOS Day

On Saturday 29 January Dart Lifeboat house will be open to the public from 10am to 5pm, with the following events;
See Our Safety, Lifejacket checks and Sea Safety advice, Seize Our Splices Splicing demo and advice, Sample Our Spices, Curries and nan bread, Sizzle Our Sausages, Hot dogs and burgers , Sell Our Souvenirs stall, See Our Socks guessing game for children, Stories for Sale second hand book stall, Sell Our Salvage boat jumble stall, Sample Our Sponges cake stall. See Our Spring Plant stall and bulbs on sale, and a Stretch Our Sinews from 5pm on Friday 28 until 5pm on Saturday 29 a 24hr Rowathon in the boathouse. Money to be raised by sponsorship for keeping going for 24hrs and by public guessing (a £1 a go)total distance achieved. The closest guess the prize is one night Band B at Dart Marina for two plus full use of the leisure complex and spa.
Source Our Stream Looe’s volunteer RNLI lifeboat crew will do their own version of a triathlon, they will run from Taphouse to Liskeard, cycle from Liskeard to Terrace Bridge near Looe and then row down the river to finish at the lifeboat station
Sip Our Soup – Saltash RNLI fundraising branch will be serving delicious homemade soup at Saltash Sailing club on Friday 28 January
