Volunteer Week: Help For Heroes

National Volunteer Week | Thank You

Help for Heroes is telling Heart how much it values it's volunteers and how the charity could not run without them.

But, here in the South West there are shortages meaning it's left to a valued group of individuals to do everything.

To spread the work load there now recruiting for more here is there plea:

You won't consider yourselves heroes either but in your own way you are.

You give up your time to collect, to support and cheer on our blokes and you do that entirely because you want to do your bit to help.

That, frankly, is amazing and we are so grateful to you for all those freezing cold days and endless late nights that you dedicate to this extraordinary cause.

Thank you for all you do as a volunteer.

Be proud of what you do in support of our young men and women who have given so much, you are doing your bit to help and you are making a huge difference.

Wherever you live, whatever your interests and no matter how much time you have to offer us, there are loads of ways to volunteer for Help for Heroes!

Volunteering for Help for Heroes is one of the most rewarding things you can do.

Whatever you do, your support is invaluable, and its our army of volunteers that keeps us - and 'the blokes' - going.

They've hand-picked some of the top reasons why volunteering for H4H is great.

  • Having fun
  • Learning new skills
