Heart’s Jason Donovan has was voted out of Strictly Come Dancing but can walk away with his head held high after two fabulous performances in the final.
Despite being top of the leaderboard after his Tango and high energy Show Dance, Jason Donovan has finished in third place just behind Harry Judd and Chelsee Healey in tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing Final.
Jason got off to a great start with his Tango to Gloria Gaynor's 'I Will Survive'. The judges loved it and gave Jason a score of 38. Alesha said that she thought the routine involved clever choreography and that it was a 'fun and joyful tango which is a rarity'. Bruno said that he could see that Jason had pushed himself to the limit and that he had excelled. he also went on to say, 'it was incredible and it was barking mad'!
Head judge Len said 'You have survived 14 weeks of blood sweet and tears, you give those other two 20 years in age but you have energy to burn.' Praise indeed.
Even Craig loved Jason's Tango and exclaimed, 'i have to say its a fantastic number, I absolutely love it.' He also recognised Jason's commitment to the show when he said, 'I know that determination and good old fashioned hard work is how you got here'.
Jason's Show Dance was incredible and he really put his all into it. Although he looked exhausted after the routine, he was jumping for joy when he got a perfect score. Len said, 'You are a showman, this is a show dance - it was the perfect combination'
Gracious as ever in defeat, Jason told Bruce Forsyth, ‘This has been the most incredible experience, after from my wife and my kids, in my life. I'd like to thank my family. To Kristina who has been so patient, has remained focused and who is one of the most incredible talents and has a vision on how to sell a dance and how to work with me, she has made me so proud’
