Aid Truck Leaving Glasgow For Balkans
A 40ft trailer loaded with supplies donated by the people of Scotland will depart Glasgow on Monday destined for the thousands of people seeking sanctuary in southern Europe.
International Development Minister, Humza Yousaf will assist volunteers in packing the vital provisions and will see the lorry's final preparations before its journey to help refugees arriving in in the Balkans.
The trailer has been organised by Scottish charity, Glasgow the Caring City.
People and communities from all across Scotland have backed the appeal donating clothes and funds to refugees arriving in Europe.
The is the first shipment from the people of Scotland thanks to a direct appeal by Glasgow the Caring City to assist the Migrant crisis unfolding in the Mediterranean.
