A man has been seriously attacked by a gang in his own home in the west end of Glasgow.
Three men burst into the house on White Street in Partick yesterday afternoon before battering him and then running off.
He is in a stable condition in hospital.
It is understood officers following a positive line of enquiry.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1500 hours on Sunday 9 August, three men gained entry to the home of a 43 year old man in White St, Partick where they seriously assaulted him before making off. He was taken to the QEUH where he is still detained. Staff describe his condition as stable."
