A pensioner who died after being hit by a bin lorry has been named by police.
Moira McKeeman, 86, sustained fatal injuries after a collision with a private refuse vehicle in Edinburgh's Morningside area on Sunday.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Officers want to trace a man who was seen standing on a nearby pavement outside Stefano's chip shop and left "visibly upset'' following the incident on Morningside Road, near to Jordan Lane, at about 11.45am. They also want to speak to a pedestrian crossing this road shortly before the collision.
Police are also keen to trace an elderly couple standing outside Brothers Barbers at the time of the incident. The woman was wearing a fur hat.
Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101.
