Four supporters were arrested at the Queen of the South-Rangers football match on Sunday, with police warning that more could face charges.
Match commander David McCallum said the majority of fans were ``very well behaved'' but four arrests were made at Palmerston Park in Dumfries for ``a variety of minor offences''.
Police said an 18-year-old man was arrested over public order offences committed while a banner was being removed from advertising hoardings by stewards.
A force spokesman said: ``The content of the banner was not in question and a number of other banners were displayed in a manner which did not contravene ground rules.
``An investigation is currently ongoing to identify a number of others who were present at this time.''
