A pensioner with dementia who went missing on the Isle of Skye has been found safe and well.
Jim Tough, 75, from Cumbernauld in North Lanarkshire, was reported missing from the Portree area where he was on holiday with his family.
He had not been seen since 10am yesterday, when he was thought to have gone out walking with his black labrador-collie cross dog.
A police helicopter was sent to help in the search.
He was found safe and well in the local area this afternoon and has been taken to Broadford Hospital on Skye for a check up, Police Scotland said.
