Greggs store targeted in raid in Glasgow

Two men armed with a knife escaped with a four-figure sum of cash after holding up a Greggs store.

The men, who wore scarves over their faces, targeted the shop in Shettleston, Glasgow, at around 5.50pm on Thursday.

They entered Greggs in Budhill Avenue and threatened two members of staff with the knife and demanded money before fleeing in a gold or orange car.

Detective Sergeant Colin Kilgour said: "Officers have been out in the area carrying out house-to-house inquiries and studying CCTV footage to gather more information on this incident and trace the two men responsible."

The first suspect is described as white, thin, and was wearing a blue hooded top, pale blue jeans and black trainers.

The second suspect wore a blue hooded top and jeans.
