A man has been charged after the alleged murder of a woman in Edinburgh.
Officers were called to Pennywell Road at around 9.30am on Tuesday after concerns were raised for the occupants.
Marie Walker was discovered dead inside while a man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with serious injuries.
A 62-year-old man has since been charged in connection with the 61-year-old's death.
He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday.
Detective Inspector Susan Balfour, of the Major Investigation Team, said: "We recognise that this incident was of great shock to the local community.
"We are satisfied this is an isolated matter and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death."
