Man charged over death near Edinburgh Castle

A man has been charged in connection with the death of a man near Edinburgh Castle.
Paul Smith, 28, was found injured in Johnston Terrace at around 1.50pm on Thursday following a report of a disturbance and he died at the scene.
Police said a 40-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death and he will face Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
Police Scotland Detective Inspector Bob Campbell said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Mr Smith and we have specialist officers providing them with support at this time.
"We are satisfied that this was an isolated incident and we are not looking for anyone else in connection."
Police said there would be a high-visibility presence in the area in the coming days.
