A man has been arrested and charged following an armed robbery at a jewellery shop.
Around £100,000 of watches were stolen in the incident at Laing on Frederick Street in Edinburgh on Monday morning.
Officers recovered heroin with a street value of around £47,000, two firearms, ammunition and cash following a search of a property in Chesser Grove in the city yesterday.
Police said a 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the armed robbery.
A second man, 26, who is not believed to have been involved in the armed robbery, was arrested at the property in connection with firearms and drug related offences.
Both are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday.
Police are still trying to trace the Rolex watches that were stolen from the jewellers and appealed for information about their whereabouts.
