Man In Wheelchair Hit By Lorry In Greenock

A wheelchair user has been seriously injured after being hit by a lorry.
The 41-year-old man was struck by the HGV as he crossed Dalrymple Street in Greenock, Inverclyde, at around 11.45am on Wednesday.
He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where medical staff describe his condition as serious.
The 52-year-old lorry driver was left shaken but was not injured.
Road closures were put in place while officers carried out enquiries.
Sergeant Kenneth Malaney has appealed for any witnesses to the crash.
He urged anyone with information to contact Greenock police office on 101 quoting reference number 1501 of November 1.
