Police Using Wrong Fuel Costs Us £1000's

Heart can reveal Police Scotland officers have wasted thousand of pounds filling up their patrol cars with the wrong type of fuel.

Police drivers here in Scotland who fill up at the wrong pump have cost us taxpayers more than £3000 in the last 2 years alone.

They to put diesel into petrol vehicles or petrol into diesel vehicles on almost a hundred  occasions since 2014.

The expensive blunders have left vehicles useless until their fuel tanks are pumped out.

The data was revealed through a Freedom Of Information request.

This figure does not include refilling the fuel tank with the correct fuel after those repair jobs.
