Three Wanted Over 'Brazen' Zimmer Assault

Police have made another appeal for information on a "brazen attack'' which left a man seriously injured.

Officers believe three men "may be able to assist with their inquiries'' into the incident near a Glasgow night club on Wednesday February 3.

The attack on the 26-year-old happened near the Cathouse Club on Union Street at around 11.25pm.

Police said a zimmer or support frame was also thrown during the incident.

Descriptions of the three men have been released.

The first is described as white, 30-40 years, balding, of medium build, wearing a dark jacket, dark trousers, and pushing a three wheeled zimmer or support frame;

The second is white, 30-35 years, of stocky build, with short dark hair, and wearing dark clothes and white trainers.

The third is white, 30-35 years, of stocky build, with light brown hair, wearing a dark jacket, blue jeans, light brown and dark footwear.

Detective Constable Stacy Smith said: "This was a brazen attack in Glasgow city centre which has left a man requiring hospital treatment for serious injuries. We are not aware of the suspects' motivation to attack the man at this time.

"Our enquiries continue to determine the circumstances surrounding the assault and I appeal to anyone who may have been walking or driving in the area and witnessed the incident to contact police.''
