Clydebank toddler named

A toddler who died after falling from the window of a third-floor flat has been named by police.

One-year-old Lexi Bergene died following the incident on Dumbarton Road in Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire, on Wednesday.

She was taken to Glasgow's Royal Hospital for Sick Children but later died from her injuries.

Her family are said to be devastated by their loss.

Police investigating the incident have said there do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances.

The incident occurred near Boquhanran Road at around 2.10pm on Wednesday.

Officers have appealed for anyone in the area at the time, who may have helped the family or the emergency services, to get in touch.

They are also asking motorists in the area to check their dashcams for any footage of the scene.
