Two people injured after coach and bus crash

Two people have been taken to hospital after a bus crash in Edinburgh.

The collision on Ferry Road involved a coach and a double-decker Lothian bus.

Emergency services were called to the accident at the junction of Craighall Road just before 9am.

A female passenger on board the Lothian bus and the male driver of the coach were injured and taken by ambulance to the Royal Infirmary.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "There were two buses involved, one was a coach and the other was a Lothian bus.

"A female passenger on the Lothian bus and the male driver of the coach have been taken to hospital."

The road remains closed while investigations continue.
