Woman charged after pensioner attacked in Glasgow

A woman has been charged after a pensioner was seriously hurt on his own doorstep in Glasgow.
The incident happened at 10.30pm on Tuesday when the 76-year-old man was disturbed at his front door in Elliston Avenue, Priesthill.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and was said to be in a serious but stable condition.
A 34-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the incident and has since been charged.
She is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
