The TV presenter wasn't present at the High Court hearing over the divorce settlement with his ex-wife Lisa Armstrong.
Ant McPartlin, 42, has apologised after missing a High Court hearing to discuss his divorce settlement with his ex-wife Lisa Armstrong.
The Saturday Night Takeaway host was due to attend the hearing at the court in London on Monday but he was absent while his former spouse was present.
However his absence wasn't decided by him and it was revealed that he “was advised by his media barrister that he didn’t need to attend court”.
His spokesman said on his behalf that “there was absolutely no intent to disrespect the court”.
Mr Justice Mostyn who presided over the hearing was disappointed to see that Ant was absent and said at the time “there isn’t one law for the famous and one for the rest of the community”.
The hearing is to decided over how Ant's £60 million fortune will be shared with his former wife and also who will get custody over their Labrador dog Hurley.
Ant and Lisa's divorce was made official on 16th October citing 'adultery' as one of the reasons for the end of the 11 year marriage which saw them separate in January.
Since the separation Ant has found love with former personal assistant to the couple, Anne-Marie Corbett.
