Dale Winton was laid to rest at a humanist ceremony attended by close friends and family. He passed away at home in April 2018.

David Walliams hid behind dark sunglasses as he said goodbye to his close friend. After he passed away, David tweeted: “Dale was the best company, always outrageous & hilarious. “He adored being in show business & loved meeting fans. He devoted his life to making everyone else happy, his friends, the public & his godsons, even though he found it hard to be happy himself.”
An order of service from Dale Winton's funeral revealed that Blue and Claire Sweeney would perform for the mourners. One of the songs was by his dear friend Cilla Black, who passed away in 2015.
Christopher Biggins and Claire Sweeney arrived together. Later, Claire would sing for the mourners during the humanist ceremony.
