The Big Bang Theory star not only portrays a science genius on TV, she is ACTUALLY one in real life. After starting out her career as a child actor in 90s sitcom 'Blossom', Mayim took time off from acting to attend UCLA, where she completed a triple major (Hebrew, Jewish Studies and neuroscience) for her undergrad degree. After that, Bialik decided to go for the gold, earning a Ph.D in neuroscience from the school in 2008. Wowza!
Lisa Kudrow may have played played dipsy Phoebe in 'Friends' but she is quite the brain box! Kudrow earned a B.S. in Biology from Vassar and spent 8 years working for her doctor dad, doing medical research.
There's more than meets the eye when it comes to James Franco. After building a successful Hollywood career, James moved to New York City to earn graduate degrees from Columbia University in writing, New York University in filmmaking and Brooklyn College in fiction writing - all at the SAME time! As if that wasn't enough he later enrolled as a PhD student in English at Yale University, and he's also taken classes at the nearby Rhode Island School of Design. Have a day off James!
Brian May found fame and fortune as lead guitarist of rock band Queen, but did you know that he holds a Ph.D in astrophysics from the Imperial College in London and is now a Visiting Researcher at the school? He completed most of his degree from 1970-74, when Queen began storming the international charts, but May's passion stayed with him all throughout his career, so in 2006 at age 59, the rockstar re-registered at the school and finished his degree in less than a year.
Frank Lampard may be paid a fortune to kick a football around a pitch, but he's not idiot. In fact, the England player has a higher IQ than Carol Vordeman! The footballer returned one of the highest scores ever seen by experts who tested the intelligence of the entire Chelsea squad. His official scores were never released but sources claim it was more than 150 on the IQ scale, putting him in the most intelligent 0.1 per cent of the population.
You may know Geeena Davis from critically acclaimed films such as 'Thelma and Louise', but what most people don't know is that the actress is a fully fledged member of Mensa, the prestigious social organization for the top 2% of most intelligent people. She's also fluent in Swedish, is an Olympic-level archer, and plays the piano, drums, and flute.
