9 Stars Who've Worked With Their Exes - For Better Or Worse!
Meeting your partner at work is a tale as old time. However, what happens when you breakup with your beau and then have to collaborate alongside them again?! These celebrities have all joined forces with their former partners, but was the result a loving reunion or just mega awks?!
1. Gwyneth Paltrow and Ben Affleck
The two actors dated from 1997-2000, during which time they jointly starred in the classic 1998 movie 'Shakespeare in Love'. However, despite splitting in the millennium, they pair reunited to co-star in the romantic movie 'Bounce', where Affleck's character Buddy falls in love with Paltrow's portrayal of a woman mourning her head husband. The drama was not received particularly well by the critics and the two parted ways.
2. Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult
After reportedly meeting on a screen test for 'X-MenL First Class', the two bright young things hit it off big time. The Oscar-winning 23-year-old and her 24-year-old beau broke their romance off however reportedly due to ridiculously overloaded schedules. The on-again-off-again couple rekindled their affections during filming 'X-Men: Days of Future Past', only to go on and sadly part ways last year.
3. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson
The young couple's offscreen romance delighted fans as much as their onscreen 'Twilight' alter egos of Bell and Edward. However, after Kristen got caught up in an affair with director Rupert Sanders, the former love birds broke up. The pair were forced to promote 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2' together. Awkward!
4. Woody Allen and Diane Keaton
The director and actress are another example of a couple who worked and played together. After dating in the early 1970s, the 69-year-old actress continued to play many of Allen's leading ladies in movies including 'Play it Again, Sam', 'Manhatten' and 'Annie Hall' despite the pair no longer being romantically involved. 5. Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz
The musical hit-maker and actress lead by example in how to get on well with an ex. After hooking up in 2003, but later splitting the two larger-than-life personalities have remanned good pals. The pair reunited on camera for the comedy movie 'Bad Teacher': "We had a great time," the blonde bombshell told 'People' magazine when asked what it was like working with her ex. "There really was no one else who was more perfect for this part. That's why he got the part." Nice work guys!
6. Harry Styles and Taylor Swift
We thought they might have been the perfect pairing, but despite dating for a while (who remembers the adorable scenes of the young couple feeding the ducks?), it sadly wasn't to be. 7. David Arquette and Courtney Cox
Meeting at work is a tale as old as time, but although it led to 11 years of marriage for Courtney Cox and David Arquette after they met on set of the classic 1996 horror film 'Scream', the duo decided to their own ways in 2010. Nevertheless, the former couple teamed up again in January 2012 when David appeared in an episode of Courteney's series "Cougar Town." 8. Luke Wilson and Drew Barrymore
These two starred already happened to be dating when they starred opposite each other in the 1998 film 'Home Fries'. However, despite parting ways after the film's release, Drew managed to help cast Luke in the 2000 movie 'Charlie's Angels' which she both produced and starred in. The 26-year-old has revealed she'll be leaving after the current sixth season.
