Cheryl is returning to prime-time TV, this time on ITV’s biggest rival channel.

Amid rumours that she will be returning to the X Factor later this year, Cheryl has thrown the ultimate curveball by reportedly taking part in a BBC talent show.

The singer was spotted at the Hammersmith Apollo, doing a run through for the BBC's new show The Greatest Dancer.

Taking up the role as a ‘dance captain’, Cheryl was seen taking pictures with fans Tuesday evening, alongside Alesha Dixon and Jordan Banjo who will present the show, and Matthew Morrison and Oti Mabuse who will judge.

However, Cheryl’s move will still be in Simon Cowell’s interest, as his company, Syco, is behind the show.

A source told The Sun: “Cheryl’s always been associated with ITV. She was made a star by Popstars: The Rivals.

“Moving to the BBC is a huge deal for her. It’s a trial run at this point. But everyone is hoping it’ll get the green light. She’s going to be the star of the show.”

The get together at the Apollo was supposedly a trial run, and the celebs were believed to be shooting a pilot at the same time.

The air date of the series is yet to be confirmed. Nice one, Chezza.
