Dress up as Freddie Mercury this Friday and raise money for The Mercury Phoenix Trust
This Friday is Freddie For A Day day! Freddie For A Day is a fun way to raise money for charity whilst keeping alive a great musical icon of our days and having fun at the same time.
FFAD is the brainchild of City worker Liz Swanton. Liz decided to spent a whole day as Freddie Mercury in the hope that her friends and family would sponsor her. And sponsor her they did, with all monetary proceedings going to The Mercury Phoenix Trust, a charity set up shortly after Freddie's death, to help victims of Aids and HIV. Since 1992 the charity has donated almost £10M in the fight against AIDS.
