Hugh Jackman: "I could've been James Bond"

The Australian actor has revealed he once turned down the role of 007.

The 43-year-old, best known for his roles in X-Men and Australia, said that he had to turn down the role due to a busy schedule.

Jackman told PA: "I got a call from my agent saying, 'There's some possible interest in you for Bond, are you interested?'"

"At the time, I wasn't. I was about to shoot X-Men 2 and Wolverine had become this thing in my life. But I think every male at some point thinks about playing Bond. So it was not right then, but it may be right if it comes back."

As we know it was Daniel Craig that was given the nod to be the sixth man to play Bond, with Colin Farrell and even Robbie Williams having been linked to the role..

Hugh is currently promoting his latest movie Real Steel, a futuristic action-epic:
