LL Cool J to host Grammys

LL Cool J has been named as the host of the 55th Annual Grammy Awards.

The rapper has hosted the annual award nominations concert since 2008, and will now do the same at the actual event on February 12th.

'I'm thrilled to be part of Music's Biggest Night,' enthused the 44-year-old in a statement. 'I will always have fond memories of my first Grammys Awards and to now be hosting the Grammy show, in the company of so many other incredible artists, is a dream come true.'

The last time the Grammys actually had an official host was 2005, when Queen Latifah took the reigns. Billy Crystal, Ellen DeGeneres and Jon Stewart have also hosted past events.

A host of artists will perform this year, including Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, and Heart's Artist of the Year 2011, Bruno Mars.
