Will The Loose Women panellist miss tonight's Strictly performance?

It seems that the phrase 'break a leg' may not be all that lucky for presenter and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ruth Langsford.

The star may be forced to pull out of week two's live shows after pulling a hamstring BEFORE making it to rehearsals with dancing partner Anton Du Beck on Friday - barely a day before her TV performance!

Now that's gotta hurt.

Posting from her bedside, Ruth told Twitter fans "Just before I went down I was in my dressing room, I said: "I'll just familiarise my steps and make sure I know the routine and I kicked my leg out and I've pulled a hamstring."

Ruth, who planned to perform the fast-paced Charleston dance this week, revealed that she's been put under strict orders to keep her leg iced, have a hot bath and take Ibuprofen by the physio.

After filming her injured leg, Ruth shared her worries about competing "I've had no rehearsal. I'm more worried about no rehearsal than I am about my hamstring which is stupid I know."

But the TV entertainer seems to still be in good spirits, ending the video with "Wish me luck - operation get hamstring better begins now!".

The This Morning presenter found herself at the bottom of the leaderboard last week after scoring just 16 points from the judges with her professional partner Anton du Beke, but she admitted she was actually proud of herself because she didn't think she'd be able to remember any of the moves when she was watching and waiting for her fellow competitors to perform.

She previously said: "I can honestly say, I've never been so nervous - ever! I've done live television for 30 years ... but I think it was waiting to go on."

Will Ruth manage to foxtrot her way to the Strictly dance floor tonight? Let's hope Ruth can 'keeeep dancing!'

Strictly Come Dancing continues this Saturday on BBC One from 6:45pm
