The excitement begins!

It's been three long years since we've been able to marvel (or cringe) at celebs trying their hand at ice skating.

But the wait is almost over as we're sliding ever closer to series 10, which is due to air next year.

With Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield resuming hosting duties, rumours have been rife as fans of the show try to guess who the celebrities will be.

A mysterious post on the official Dancing On Ice Instagram page has sent fans into a frenzy for two reasons - 1. It's the first image they've released of any contestant this year, and 2. WHO OWNS THOSE ABS?!

Now THIS is the kind of investigating we like! It appears, on closer inspection, that these abs could belong to Scottish rugby player Max Evans, whose Instagram page is awash with topless pictures.

Max is brother to Thom Evans, who also played professional Rugby for Scotland, but was forced to quit the sport after a severe neck injury that nearly left him paralysed. Thom appeared on the 2014 series of Strictly Come Dancing, but only made it to week 5.

We sense that there's some brotherly competition involved here!

According to The Sun, this year's line up of Dancing On Ice includes the likes of Katie Price, GBBO winner Candice Brown, Paul Burrell, Corrie's Antony Cotton, 'Psychic' Sally and Loose Women Panelist Saira Khan.

England cricket player Ebony Rainford-Brent, Corrie's Katie McGlynn, WAG Alex Curran and comedian Stephen Bailey are also apparently in the line up.

The last time Dancing On Ice appeared on our screens was for a special series titled 'All Stars', in which only former contestants and winners were to compete. Ray Quinn scooped 1st place, out-performing previous winners Beth Tweddle, Susanne Shaw and soap star Hayley Tamaddon.

Earlier this month it was announced that Ashley Banjo, founder and performer for dance group Diversity, would feature alongside Torvill and Dean in this years judging panel.

With no official air date for the 2018 series as of yet, it's expected to kick start in January - in keeping with previous series.

We can't wait for it to return!
