Stacey Solomon has revealed her experience of home-schooling her two kids.
Stacey Solomon has spoken out about her decision to homeschool her kids, revealing that it’s not as simple as it sounds.
The Loose Women host, recently revealed that she made the controversial decision to pull her sons, Zachary, nine, and Leighton, five, out of mainstream school.
She’s now explained that it’s not all that easy, telling Talk Radio: "I researched a lot, I asked lots of people I know that do it, and people who have been home schooled and tried to get that opinion, and that’s when I changed my mind (about school)"
She added: "It is really difficult, you can have a structured classroom environment. For me, it’s not like that. I have to rely hugely on my family to be there.
"If I am going to work I have to ask them to help me and be there, or to take them to museums so they learn in an outside environment."
Stacey also explained that she hires a tutor to help out when she has work commitments, adding: "I also have a tutor once a week which they study maths english and science with. So if there comes a point where Zachary turns around to me and said ‘I want to study at school’ he can go and take his exams when he needs to.
"So we have a tutor once a week, and the rest of the week it is in and around the schedule.”
