Ant McPartlin will reportedly still make an appearance in Saturday Night Takeaway’s trademark sketch.

Despite confirming that he is returning to rehab following last week’s car crash incident, Ant McPartlin will still appear in this weekend’s Saturday Night Takeaway ‘whodunnit’ sketch.

Last week it was announced that Dec will present the final two episodes of SNT alone.

However the skit, which documents Ant and Dec - both 42 - investigating the identity of the villain behind a number of celebrity disappearances, will still feature the troubled star in the lead up to the big reveal.

Talking about the sketch an insider told The Sun: "There's been discussion about whether it should be ditched because Ant features heavily.

"But after a lot of soul searching it was decided the final episodes should run because viewers love the series and want to find out the conclusion in the final two episodes."

The source went on to explain that the show’s bosses are still unsure of how to tackle addressing the fact that Ant will be a no show, adding:

“At the moment talks are taking place about exactly how his situation in regards to the drink driving charge and rehab will be addressed.”

Roll on Saturday!
