It's been less than a week since the explosive finale of Line Of Duty and fans are already begging for more.

The BBC crime drama about police corruption had the nation of the edge of their seats as viewers tuned in each Sunday to watch DCI Roz Huntley's (played by Thandie Newton) shady antics as the hunt for 'Balaclava Man' continued.

When series four ended the Beeb initially promised a fifth would be on its way and now it's been confirmed that we will be treated to a SIXTH series.

And as if that's not exciting enough AC-12's main trio will be in the next two series too!

So we'll be seeing a LOT more of Adrian Dunbar who plays Superintendent Ted Hastings, Vicky McClure who plays DS Kate Fleming and Martin Compston who plays DS Steve Arnott.

Martin Compston Hints At Balaclava Man's Identity

The Radio Times reported the news first after BBC's director general Tony Hall shared the news at an event which revealed lots of new BBC drama commissions.

He said: "I am very  excited to say there's not one but two more series of Line Of Duty. So hooray for AC-12!"
