What is Trauma about?
The storyline revolves around two fathers Dan and Jon whose worlds get turned upside down when Dan's 15 year-old son Alex is stabbed and dies in the trauma department attended by high-achieving consultant Allerton.
As emotions run high, Dan starts to believe that Jon is responsible for Alex's death.
The three-part-series explores what happens when the very institutions that are supposed to protect us and those who represent them, unfortunately let us down.
Trauma was written by Mike Bartlett who has also worked on Doctor Foster and The Town.
Who is in the Trauma cast?
The lead roles in Trauma are played by Adrian Lester, who is a surgeon named Jon Allerton, and John Simm who plays the grieving dad, Dan Bowker.
Other characters that star in the series include Rowena King as Jon’s wife, Lisa Allerton and their 18-year-old daughter Alana, played by Jade Anouka.
The writer of the drama, Mike Bartlett explained: “I wrote Trauma knowing we needed, and hoping we'd get, hugely talented actors for the roles.”
“But this cast has exceeded expectations. I'm a huge fan of all of them individually and can't wait to see them on screen together.”
When Does Trauma Start?
Trauma kicks off on the 12th February at 9pm, with the first of the the three-part TV show.
