5. Castaway
The epic tale of Hanks' character surviving on an island after his plane crashes, only to finally be saved years later ended with quite the letdown. The girl he had been pining for married another man, crashing all our hopes of a happy reunion, while the package that Hanks keeps with him on the island the entire time finally gets delivered... and we still don't get to find out what it is.
