Having spent much of 'Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel' in hospital, long-suffering Dave Seville decides to go on a luxury cruise. But of course he can't go without chipmunks Alvin, Theodore and Simon. Naturally, chipettes Jeanette Eleanor, and Brittany come along too.

But with all six mischievous rodents together in a confined space, chaos is bound to ensue as they turn the ship into their personal playground and after one jape too many, the lovable critters find themselves 'chip-wrecked' on a desert island.

As Dave searches frantically for his little friends, they carry on singing, dancing and creating mayhem. But then they find that they're not alone on the island, and embark on an adventure with a castaway who proves more than a match for them!
