Skyfall now the UK's biggest film of 2012
In just 12 days, the new James Bond movie has become the highest-grossing film of the year in Britain, taking a staggering £57 million.
The total takes Skyfall past the likes of The Dark Knight Rises, which has taken £56.2 million since July, and The Avengers (£51.6 million since April).
Skyfall opens in the US today (November 9th) having been in cinemas in the UK and Ireland since October 26th.
2006 Bond film Casino Royale remains the highest grossing Bond film ever, raking in £370 million worldwide.
