'Jane The Virgin' star Gina Rodriguez, 'Orphan Black' actress Tatiana Maslany and 'Bates Motel' leading lady Olivia Cooke.

According to 'The Wrap' the three actresses are set to read with 'The Force Awkens' actor, John Boyega before a decision is made later this month.

UPDATE: 18th August 2015

While both 'The Force Awakens' and 'Rogue One' are well on their way to cinemas, fans have had their first bit of news about 'Star Wars: Episode IX'.

'Jurassic World' director, Colin Trevorrow has been confirmed to direct the third film.

When J.J. Abrams announced he wouldn't be returning to the director's chair after 'Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens', fans were left wondering who would helm the second and third films in the new trilogy.

'Looper' director, Rian Johnson was chosen to lead 'Star Wars: Episode VIII' and now the final instalment has a director too.

"This is not a job or an assignment," said Colin Trevorrow. "It is a seat at a campfire, surrounded by an extraordinary group of storytellers, filmmakers, artists and craftspeople. We've been charged with telling new stories for a younger generation because they deserve what we all had - a mythology to call their own. We will do this by channelling something George Lucas instilled in all of us: boundless creativity, pure invention and hope."

No word yet on when the third and final film will be released, but it's expected to hit cinemas around December 2019.
