Moin Younis made the crowd both cry and laugh upon accepting his Pride Of Britain award
During last night’s Pride Of Britain Awards, 17 year old Moin Younis won over both the celebrities and the nation’s hearts thanks to his inspiring and hilarious character.
Due to his work as an ambassador for the Acorns Children’s Hospice, Birmingham, he won the Pride of Britain Teenager of Courage award.
Moin, has Epidermolysis bullosa which makes his skin tear and blister at the slightest touch, giving him constant pain.
This however didn’t stop him from inspiring the audience with his message as well as leaving them in hysterics with his constant banter.
As he collected his award, he cracked a joke with Carol Vorderman on stage about his shared love of Aston Villa with Prince William.
And as a Villa fan, when finding out he was a winner before the show, he got the biggest surprise EVER when David Beckham paid him a visit.
Taking David’s phone call, Moin asked: “How am I supposed to believe this is David Beckham?” before asking: “When am I allowed to meet you one day?” - and just like that, David appeared.
David praised him for being an “amazing person” whilst Moin praised his hair!
He was later met with a series of tweets from the likes of Scarlett Mofatt and Paddy McGuinness thanking him for making them laugh and for being such a “legend”.
