Get your skates on...
OK, now we’re even more excited about the return of Dancing On Ice. It’s been revealed that Diversity’s Ashley Banjo is joining ITV’s skating competition when it hits the ice again early in 2018.
The dancer and winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2009 will be on the judging panel with British Olympic skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.
Rylan Clark excitedly broke the news on This Morning, saying: "I can reveal a judge on Dancing On Ice. It's Ashley Banjo,"
Ashley, 29, had some fun on Twitter with the news.
Some interesting rumours floating about today...— Ashley Banjo (@AshleyBanjo) October 18, 2017
A ‘telly insider’ told The Sun: “Producers are really excited about bringing Ashley into the fold. As well as being extremely talented, he has a great eye for choreography and can deliver strategic advice objectively. He might be a charmer, but he’s not a push-over and isn’t afraid to tell a contestant if they’re getting something wrong.”
Philip Schofield and Holly Willoughby will return to hosting duties – do those two ever have any time off?! Holly’s thrilled, saying: "Ashley Banjo is going to be a great addition to the series. He's a brilliant dancer and a brilliant choreographer.”

Dancer Ashley has plenty of experience judging dance shows, following stints on ITV’s Dance Dance Dance and Sky’s Got to Dance. Maybe he’ll eventually do a stint on Strictly Come Dancing so that he can say he collected the whole set?!
As for former Dancing On Ice judges Robin Cousins, Karen Barber and Ashly Roberts, they have all been ruled out of a return to the ITV series.
But there’s no word yet on catty judge Jason Gardiner. Watch this space..
