After the tragic news of Dale Winton's passing, fans were left wondering what the fate of the upcoming Supermarket Sweep shows would be.
It was announced last year that the popular trolley dash programme would be getting a reboot and returning to our screens, and despite Winton never being confirmed as the host, it was a fairly certain expectation that he was the man for the job.
However, in light of the recent events, fans have been calling on Rylan Clark-Neale to front the future shows as a "tribute" to Winton.
At the time of the reboot announcement last year, TV personality Rylan expressed his delight in the news. And now, after he paid tribute to Winton on Twitter, fans are hoping that he will step up and take the reins.

I think as a tribute to #DaleWinton they should bring back #SupermarketSweep with @Rylan as the host!

I’ll always remember Dale from my childhood, I used to love coming home from school to watch supermarket sweep and always dreamed of being on it one day. RIP to a great man.

I know it’s very early but if they bring the show back the only man for the job is @Rylan hands down

Rylan, who first found fame with his flamboyant auditions on X Factor, has developed a glittering career in presenting with roles on the likes of This Morning, The Xtra Factor and Big Brother's Bit On The Side.
The star also won Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, and went on to have his own TV show - Up Late With Rylan.
A spokesperson for FreemantleMedia (who bought the rights to the new Supermarket Sweep series), told OK! online that "conversations are happening" on making the shows, but stated that they "don’t have anything to share at this stage" with regards to presenters.
It was announced that Dale Winton tragically passed away at the age of 62 at his London home on earlier this week on April 18th.
