But it's a headache for the BBC
GBBO fans, here's a date for your diaries - Tuesday 29th August.
That's when Channel 4 will launch their new version of The Great British Bake Off, it was confirmed today. In response, the BBC - previous home of Britain's favourite baking competition - have moved The Big Family Cooking Showdown to Thursdays to avoid a clash. Awks.

Nadiya Hussain, winner of GBBO's 2015 series, is one of the faces on The Big Family Cooking Showdown, which launched last night and was well received. The Beeb wanted to avoid a clash with their former showstopper, but it was not to be.
We're still not sure what to make of the new GBBO's brand new trailer, which is very quirky and may be an indication of the direction Channel 4 are taking the show in.
The short animation sees bread rolls, cakes and pastries singing in unison with great big smiley faces before the words "Coming Soon" appear on the screen. It is kinda growing on us.
Regardless, there are now less than two weeks until we see original judge Paul Hollywood alongside the new team - fellow judge Prue Leith and new hosts Sandi Toksvig and Noel Fielding. (We're really nervous about whether Noel will work - it will either be genius or a complete car crash).
Meanwhile, there's room in our hearts - and bellies - for more than one foodie competition. If you haven't seen Nadiya in action on The Big Family Cooking Showdown alongside Giorgio Locatelli, Rosemary Shrager and Zoe Ball, it is worth checking out.
