8 TV Show Couples That Make Us Want To Get Hitched
We've watched them meet, get together, break-up, get back together and in some cases... live happily ever after. From 'Friends' to 'Dawson's Creek', meet the iconic TV couples that have got us dreaming of a white wedding.
1. Derek and Meredith from 'Grey's Anatomy'
The will-they-won't-they relationship of 'Grey's Anatomy' made the show what it is, and although it's certainly moved on in its 10 seasons, we'll never forget Meredith Grey and Dr McDreamy. From the very first episode, to their marriage in season 7, to the tragic outcome of the latest season, Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey's chemistry is undeniable and will certainly be missed. 2. Buffy and Angel from 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer'
We know the whole Buffy and Angel thing didn't exactly work out as planned but there wasn't a teenage TV couple we were rooting for more than these small screen icons. He was a vampire, she was a vampire slayer; it was Romeo and Juliet for the '90s and we loved it. Plus, if you re-watch the final season you'll see that Buffy does actually imply that at some point in the future they'll be together again. You know why? Because they're meant to be together, that's why. Picture: Rex
3. Monica and Chandler from 'Friends'
This TV couple needs no introduction. If Monica and Chandler getting together didn't make you want to immediately propose to your other half, you're clearly insane. From that first drunken kiss to starting a family, 'Friends' fans everywhere were melting in front of their TV screens at this iconic couple. Ross and Rachel who? Picture: Facebook
4. Pacey and Joey from 'Dawson's Creek'
The show might be named after Dawson but it was Pacey and Joey that were clearly meant to be together. Despite them hating each other to begin with, followed by the longest love triangle EVER, Joey finally realised who she was always meant to be with at the end of season 6. Fans breathed a sigh of relief everywhere as they feared it might have taken them 'til they were on their deathbeds for the pair to realise.
5. Carrie and Mr Big from 'Sex And The City'
Talk about a long romance! We'd just about given up on Carrie and Mr Big getting a happy ending by season 6 of 'Sex And The City'. With break-ups, cheating and other relationships, love truly was a hard road to travel for this pair. Thankfully they got their act together and made our TV dreams come true with the conclusion of one epic TV romance. Picture: Rex
6. Seth and Summer from 'The OC'
In most TV shows there's a couple that's always breaking up and getting back together, and then there's a couple that are just meant to be together. Seth and Summer were the meant-to-be couple of 'The OC' and although this didn't mean they didn't face their fair share of dramas, we always knew they'd make it in the end. We fell apart when we got to see a flash-forward of their wedding in the season 4 finale. Picture: Facebook
7. Luke and Lorelai from 'Gilmore Girls'
It took a lot of work to get these two together but once it happened, it was one of the best on screen pairings we've ever witnessed on TV. Sure they messed it up a couple of times but fans never lost faith that the crazy single mum and rugged diner owner were perfect for each other. Aww. Picture: Facebook
8. Dan and Roseanne from 'Roseanne'
Dan and Roseanne might seem more like an advert for divorce than marriage but if you look again, you'll soon realise they are the epitome of matrimonial bliss. Sure they ague and fight a lot but at the end of the day, it works for them. We couldn't imagine one without the other and that's what makes for a successful TV couple. Picture: Rex
