Scoring, song choices, special guests and that dreaded first elimination...

The first Strictly Come Dancing live show of 2017 arrived in style last weekend, with a peak of 10.2 million people watching. There was plenty to talk about, including the Rev. Richard Coles' interesting dancing and an emotional Alexandra Burke paying tribute to her late mother by dancing to her favourite song - '(You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman' by Aretha Franklin.

We were also subjected to Bruno Tonioli getting a little overfamiliar with new head judge Shirley Ballas while Aston Merrygold (ex-JLS) ended up at the top of the leaderboard thanks to his slick Old Hollywood-style foxtrot. The big surprise was that The Lovely Debbie McGee was right on his heels, earning second place on the leaderboard thanks to her elegant Paso Doble.

Those who didn't fare so well included This Morning's Ruth Langsford, TV chef Simon Rimmer and Rev. Richard Coles, who all found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard.

Now all eyes are on this weekend, which will see the first Sunday results show of the year, including that dreaded first elimination.

Strictly’s second live show will air on Saturday on BBC1 at 6.45pm, with the results show from7.15pm on Sunday. Emeli Sandé will be performing on the show.

Last week, no-one was eliminated, but the first celebrity of series 15 will be leaving the competition this Sunday. The judges' scores from Week One will be combined with the scores received by the celebs and their professional dance partners following their second performance this Sunday.

Those two marks will then be added together and ranked in a leaderboard. The phone lines will then open for the first time this year and viewers will be able to vote for their favourite couples.

The two couples who find themselves at the bottom when both the judges’ scores and viewers’ votes are combined will then face the dance off. Got all that?!

As for which songs our couples will be hitting the floor to on Saturday night, there are some intriguing choices.  Aston Merrygold and Janette Manrara will do a Salsa to a Heart favourite - 'Despacito (Remix)' by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee ft. Justin Bieber. Meanwhile, Joe McFadden and Katya Jones will do the Tango to another Heart favourite, 'Castle on the Hill' by Ed Sheeran.

Bring. It. On.
