A man's been stabbed in Hilsea.
It happened as the 24-year-old left the rail station with his girlfriend at around 10 o'clock on Sunday night.
Police say the victim was tripped up and fell to the ground, when he was punched and kicked by around four or five youths.
He was also hit in the face with a belt.
The victim managed to get up and run away in the direction of Anchorage Road, but one of his attackers chased him and stabbed him in the back near Sywell Crescent.
Police want to hear from anyone who saw what happened.
