Murray Exit Prompts Ticket Rush

Andy Murray's Wimbledon defeat has led to a rush of fans trying to re-sell their men's final tickets.

Online firm Viagogo saw a 23% increase in ticket listings after Murray mania came to an abrupt end yesterday.

The increased availability has forced down the re-sale price of Sunday's Centre Court tickets by 10%.

But the number of tennis fans searching for men's final tickets has remained steady, and continues to be twice as popular as Saturday's women's final.

A spokesman for Viagogo said: "Wimbledon is a perennial favourite regardless of Murray and with stars of the game such as (Roger) Federer and (Novak) Djokovic still in the running, the tournament remains in the top three most popular global events on our site.''
