Building new homes
Time is running out to have your say on plans that could see over 13,000 new homes built in North Somerset.
North Somerset Council has put together a 'Core Strategy' which looks at where to build homes between now and 2026.
Up to 6,000 of those could be built in Weston-super-Mare, that's down from an original estimate of 9,000 while one part taken out of the strategy is plans to build 9,000 homes in South West Bristol.
The council say any new developments will have to be matched by employment opportunities.
