Europe's new state of the art training centre for air traffic controllers has opened at the NATS’ headquarters at Whiteley in Hampshire.
The ten million pound project to create a cutting-edge training facility has been completed four months ahead of schedule.
It's been relocated from Hurn in Bournemouth.
The new training centre was officially opened by Jim French, Chairman and Chief Executive of Flybe on Monday September 26th 2011.
The ceremony was also be attended by Meon Valley MP George Hollingbery, the Mayor of Winchester and Deputy Mayor of Fareham.
The new 4000 square metre centre has purpose-built classrooms and air traffic controller simulator positions. It will take in 120 students a year, in four intakes of 30.
