£5000 Worth Lead Stolen From College

Police are appealing for information after thieves stole around £5000 worth of lead from the roof at Eastleigh College in Cranberry Road in the town.

It's believed to have happened overnight on Wednesday August, 17 but could have occurred up to 3 weeks ago due to the school holidays.

A large amount of lead was stolen from the roof of Cranberry Annexe which is one of the college buildings.

The theft also caused around £3000 worth of damage to the floor and roof of the building due to rain coming in.

Police are asking for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have any information to contact PC Keith Walsh at Eastleigh police station on 101 or call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
